Let’s create many fun tactile activities for the child. Find ways to make your child laugh out loud with you. When children are happy, their interaction reflexes become much faster.

After that, mothers should find the objects the child likes and hold them up. Bring the object to the child’s eye level and teach them to name it. The child must look into your eyes for at least 1 second to receive that item. Once the child understands this rule, they will form a habit of looking at the speaker.

Adults should also practice the habit of sitting at the child’s eye level. This helps promote the process to increase eye contact naturally. Be a friend and stay by your child’s side, avoiding over-interfering which makes the child uncomfortable.

When supporting your child with homework, create a quiet separate corner in the house. This space should be free of TV, phones, or people walking around. This keeps your child from getting distracted. Mothers should explain requests in clear, short language. Give the easiest examples to your child.

Most children with special needs learn very well through the visual channel. Therefore, enhance visual strategies with pictures. Along with focus training, parents also need to pay attention to increase eye contact while teaching the child.
